So lately I’ve been working a bit on re-branding myself. At least from a professional standpoint. I just felt that it was time to freshen things up. I wanted my new look to be cleaner and less cluttered, while still being me and being fun.
I’m pretty fond of how it turned out. It was a somewhat long process with a lot development from where I started. I did get some help from my graphic design friend Matt Tout. For serious he’s awesome.
But anyways. Check out my new portfolio and give me your thoughts!
Two things I’m obsessed with… quinoa and sriracha… and then… well kale is very good for you! Not that I don’t like kale. I don’t mind some in my salad from time to time… but obsessed? I wouldn’t go so far as to say that.
Anyways, these are pretty simple to make. I like to think they’re pretty tasty as well!
-2 Cups of cooked Quinoa
-1.1/2 Cups of chopped Kale
-1/4 Cup Sriracha Chili Sauce
-1/4 Cup Onion Chopped
-1/8 Cup Green Pepper (and or other veggies!)
-Olive Oil for cooking
Mix the quinoa, kale, and other veggies in a bowl.
Add the egg and sriracha!
Form the mixture into patties. (I used about 1/4 Cup for each patty) Make sure you mold them firmly or they won’t stay together very well in the cooking process!
Heat some olive oil in a skillet and cook each patty until browned. (a few minutes on each side). Remove the cooked patties to a plate with a paper towel to drain off any extra oil.
I’ve had major spring fever lately… looking out my window puts a damper on my day when I see all the snow and ice still out there… will it ever end???
So I’ve had this dress in my ‘to work on’ pile for months now. I knew it would be a simple fix, but it was winter… not much use for dresses like this in the winter… Anyways, I finally decided that I needed something to make me forget about the cold and snow for a minute, so I grabbed this dress out of the pile…
I really enjoyed the fabric pattern, the lace back, and the cute little buttons down the front of this dress… but what I didn’t enjoy was the layered ‘frilly’ look and the length. I’ve never been much of a maxi dress girl.
To make this dress acceptable to me, I simply cut off the bottom ‘frilly layer’ and hemmed it up. I know I’m lazy. I probably could have done a lot more with this, but I found it to be satisfactory, and actually pretty cute!
So that’s my ‘spring please get here now!’ plea to the universe. I have a new dress to wear once it’s warm!
On another note, I finally got my blog all hooked up with a Bloglovin account! So if you enjoy having all of your favorite blogs to read in one place, sign up and follow me! And if you already have Bloglovin… well you’re welcome. Life is easier this way!
